Welcoming Bobby McGuire, FNP-C
Bobby McGuire is no stranger to Parkview. For the past five years, he’s served this community as an ER nurse right here at the hospital. Now, he’s stepping into a new role as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at the Parkview Rural Health Clinic – and he’s now taking new patients.
“As a Family Nurse Practitioner, my goal is simple: to provide compassionate, evidence-based care while treating every patient with the same respect and kindness I would want for my own family,” Bobby shared in this month’s newsletter. “I believe great healthcare begins with listening, building trust, and forming lasting relationships.”

A Year in Review – Melissa Eagan
As I mark one year at Parkview Hospital, I have had the opportunity to reflect on how much has happened in a short amount of time. There is a lot to be proud of, and our focus remains on strengthening North Wheeler County Hospital District while continuing to invest in our future.
We expanded rehabilitation services to include occupational and speech therapy, welcomed new providers and leadership to the Rural Health Clinic, established a dedicated Human Resources department, made improvements throughout our facilities, and formed a 501(c)(3) foundation to create new opportunities for Parkview and the communities we serve. Behind the scenes, we are also taking a closer look at where we are today, where we can improve, and how we can continue to grow. That means strengthening our programs and operations, recruiting healthcare professionals, building new partnerships, and looking for opportunities to expand services and keep more care close to home.
There is still more work to be done. This month, we will host a Community Health Needs Assessment to hear directly from the people we serve. We will use what we learn to guide our strategic planning and help us make thoughtful decisions about where to focus our efforts and investments moving forward. I am grateful for our employees, providers, Board, community partners, and most importantly, the continued trust and support of those we serve. There is a lot happening at Parkview, and I am excited about where we are headed.
