Dr. Pennington bringsĀ over 20 years of clinical experienceĀ serving individuals and families across the lifespan. Her career has been deeply rooted inĀ rural and underserved communities, where she has provided high-quality occupational therapy while navigating the unique challenges of access, limited resources, and continuity of care. This passion for rural health makes her a wonderful fit for Parkview Hospital and the Wheeler County community.

Dr. Pennington has broad experience across a variety of care settings, includingĀ acute care, swing bed rehabilitation, outpatient services, pediatric therapy, and community-based practice. Her pediatric background includes working with developmental delays, sensory processing, fine and gross motor development, school-based functional skills, and family-centered care. She also brings exceptional expertise inĀ hand and elbow rehabilitationĀ for patients of all ages.

Across all areas of practice, Dr. Pennington emphasizesĀ evidence-based care, functional independence, and collaboration, and working closely with patients, families, educators, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support meaningful participation in everyday life.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Pennington has held roles inĀ program development, clinical education, research, staff mentorship, and quality improvement. She is especially passionate about equipping rural healthcare providers with practical, sustainable strategies that strengthen care delivery and improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Pennington earned herĀ Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, with a focus on rural health. Her professional interests include pediatric and upper-extremity rehabilitation, aging in place, rural healthcare delivery models, and bridging gaps in care for underserved populations.
